Environmental Education to employees and family members
Environmental education for the sustainable development of Steel Valley, in Minas Gerais state, is a rewarding challenge to Aperam South America for the region has one of the largest preserved areas of Atlantic Forest in the State. The main education tool used is the Environmental Education Center – Oikós, created in 1993.

Since 2003, the Environmental Education Program for employees and contractors is being used in order to provide a systemic view of the environment, by stimulating the proactive participation of employees in environmental issues, inside and outside of the Company.
