Stainless Brazil mobilises volunteers in its units
Volunteering is one of Stainless Brazil’s main sustainable actions. The Company develops works at entities and schools by mobilising employees and community to act as volunteers, transforming tomorrow of children, youngsters, adults and even the elderly. In December, Stainless Brazil units were mobilised to develop an activity to celebrate the International Volunteer Day. According to Stainless Brazil Production Director, Clênio Guimarães, that initiative meets ArcelorMittal global guidelines of always contributing to improve more and more the cities in which the Group is established. In Timóteo, Stainless Brazil, together with approximately 50 other companies, public government and institutions, held a big party involving around 3 thousand people. The event took place en December 12 and included many activities such as educational lectures, issuing of documents, medical assistance, beauty care, oral hygiene and games. For the children, picture taken with Santa Claus, popcorn, cotton candy, toys and games.
During the event, 40 representatives of the sponsoring companies were granted homage by receiving a certificate for their voluntary work in the community of Timóteo. At the end, the community saw a music concert with a regional band called Bolêros do Samba. One of the activities of the games was to collect food and supplies to be given out to needy families and local social entities. The Orange and Blue teams together collected 1,677 basic food kits, on a total of approximately 17.5 tons of food supplies and 2,427 football balls.
The voluntary works were also held at the following units: Campinas, Caxias do Sul, Ribeirão Pires and São Paulo. The employees gathered themselves to accomplish small actions but with big results. Check on the table below the results of each unit.

| The voluntary works are foreseen to take place by the end of the year. The employees will visit rest home in town and spend the day there with interactive and entertaining activities with the residents.
| Caxias do Sul
| Collection of food, hygiene and cleaning supplies for the rest home São Francisco de Assis, which assists 70 elders. A total of 50 kg of food supplies were collected among individual and basic food kits.
| Ribeirão Pires
| Construction of a new playground with two sets of trotters, a 4-place swing and an 8-place merry-go-round. Everything is made of stainless steel. The new playground toys were donated to Bezerra de Menezes Medium Home, and institution that assists approximately 90 children of u to 5 years old and more than 50 children from 7 to 15 years old who attend educational workshops. The employees have also held a party for the children, with hotdog, popcorn, cotton candy, beverage, fruit juice, as well as entertainment such as trampoline, bubble pool, balloon toys and face painting. At the end of the party, Santa Claus arrived and distributed toys.
| São Paulo
| Distribution of 50 kits with clothes, a pair of shoes, a toy and a box of chocolate for the residents of Dona Cotinha Orphanage. Each employee sponsored a child or adolescent between 2 months and 17 years old. The volunteers visited the orphanage and distributed gifts and candies to the children.
