A PRESENCE THAT TEACHES
For ArcelorMittal Acesita Foundation, education is in the base of human being development and is the most powerful growth and transformation tool of a society.
Therefore, besides giving a strong educational character to all its programs, the Institution acts directly in the local schools, with an extensive and innovative program.
The Teaching Quality Improvement Program is developed by the Education Department of the ArcelorMittal Acesita Foundation and it counts on the partnership of the Municipal City hall - through the General Office of Education, Culture, Sport and Leisure - and of the Regional Teaching Superintendence of Cel. Fabriciano. Assisting all public schools of the municipality, it includes from school administration supporting projects - intended for directors, teachers and employees - to projects in complementary education, art and culture intended for students. It has partnerships with the community, in successful initiatives. It includes school management projects involving all school, continuing education, art and culture segments with focus on the students.
Since 2004, it acts with some projects in six cities of the Jequitinhonha Valle.
School community is not only educational focus of ArcelorMittal Acesita Foundation.
Through the Study Project, the employees of the Company are encouraged and receive support to improve their education levels. Today, 93% of them already finished high school. The results were so amazing that the Project was also extended for the employees of the companies that render services to ArcelorMittal Inox Brasil and for ArcelorMittal Jequitinhinha's employees, in the Jequitinhonha Valley.
