GNO Electrical Steels
GNO electrical steels, when totally processed, present fully developed magnetic properties and they comprehend a variety of classes, as required by the market.
They have excellent permeability value, low core loss and they can be supplied with insulating coating.
They can be used in the manufacture of cores for generators and electric motors (from small to large size), reactors for lighting systems, ballasts for lighting systems, power meters, motors for hermetic compressors to be used in refrigerators, freezers and air-conditioning, among others.

The non-grain oriented electrical steels can be used in hermetic compressors for refrigerators
Technical specifications
GNO electrical steels produced by Aperam South America can be supplied as coils, sheets or strips, according to international standards. The Brazilian standard ABNT NM71-2000 refers to the classification and requirements for this family of steels.
GNO electrical steels can be supplied with the following coatings:
- C0 (inorganic finishing using natural oxides);
- C3 (organic insulation using a varnish on the surface of the material);
- C4 (inorganic insulation due to chemical treatment applied to the material)
- C6 (organic/inorganic insulation applied to the surface of the material).
The core loss upper and lower values refer to a fully processed product, being tested as it is cut, no annealing is used to relief tension incurred by cutting, com 50% of the samples are cut in the rolling direction and 50% in transverse direction.
User has to specify only one condition for induction and frequency in order to guarantee maximum core loss. If not specified, core loss value will be provided at 1.0 T and 50 Hz.
