Producing electrical steels in the country since 1957, Aperam South America is the sole producer in Latin America of grain-oriented (GO) and non-grain oriented (NGO) electrical steels.
The use of silicon in the chemical composition of these steel grades and the strict process control in all production steps ensure excellent magnetic properties – being able to guarantee higher efficiency of electric equipment as well as energy saving.
GO electrical steel has optimized magnetic properties in its rolling direction, whereas NGO presents good properties in any direction considered.
